Our sweet baby boy

Our sweet Oliver came into the world at 7:31 am Tuesday January 6th. He weighed 7 lbs and is 20 inches long.
We've loved the name Oliver even before we knew we were pregnant. We toyed around with a few others, but it was meant to be. For his middle name, we had a few others we thought we would use. Lately I've loved the idea of King, E is called Rey by his family, which is King in Spanish. Then Oliver was born on Three King's Day. We even saw a few other signs at the hospital, so thus, Oliver King.

Sawyer is loving his little brother. When I came down the stairs this morning, first time being back from the hospital, he started whining and pointing at me. How sweet, he missed his momma. Nope, as soon as I handed Oliver to my mom to hold Sawyer, he went to the baby! He loves to give him kisses and point at his forehead and say, "baby...baby..."
Proud proud Papa. We are so happy and thrilled to have Oliver in our family.
Everything went great and we are all doing really well, except mom and dad could use some more sleep. My mom is here for a few weeks and her help is priceless. I already have no idea how I'll do it on my own!

And we're back!

Congrats to E on breaking our record for # of comments, he's so popular. For those of you who didn't know, our computer had been broken so I feel like I've been so out of it! I've been able to access the internet through E's laptop, but other than that I've felt so helpless without all my stuff. So this last week my friends threw me a spectacular baby shower, aren't they so sweet! So here is the one of two shots I got of all of us ;) I got some super cute things, ate some delicous mint ice cream with fudge and got to hang out! Thanks to Tamara especially for putting everything together!

To the little funny man. When he wakes up in the morning and from naps he hordes all of the things in his bed, binkys, blankets, babys, books...so I got a mug shot the other day. Here he has two binkys in his left hand, two blankets on his left shoulder and his baby on his right...such a funny boy...today he broke his own personal best and brought SIX binkys down from his nap, they were falling all over the place, so he'd cry and we'd stop and he would somehow manage to hold them all again for a minute, and then another would fall...

So I started feeling guilty last night writing in my sometimes journal. Here my second son isn't even born and I am already feeling like I'm neglecting him! I label all my posts, and if you look (on the right side of the blog) it has my labels and how many posts fall under each label. Of my 40 something posts, Sawyer has 24, by far the most (which he is in every one of them, just that I labeled the ones that were specifically about him). Not that this is bad, he is our only baby for crying out loud, it's just that maybe it should be called "Sawyer's Every Moment" blog :) So I thought, hey, why not blog about someone else for a change!

Today S and I went to the storage to get his clothes from "up to 6 months" so I could see what I might need for baby boy 2 since I am going to town soon. As I was going through the baby clothes I got really excited! I have been really overwhelmed thinking of a new baby in the house, I haven't stopped to enjoy it as much as I should! I just started thinking of this little guy in my tummy, who is getting increasingly bigger and bigger, and I just want to meet him! It's crazy thinking of bringing a whole new person to the world. I am looking forward to snuggling this little guy and smelling that newborn smell....plus it means family will be visiting!
So here is to Baby Boy 2, still unnamed and dutifully searching for one, WE LOVE YOU!

PS The pic is of the super cute quilt my mom made that will be for him, or one the same with different fabrics. She invented it all herself, isn't she fab? Also, his due date is January 10th for those of you wondering...

{UpdAte}

Today we went to Truman State's homecoming parade. It was exactly what a parade should be, lots of candy, parking right up close, we got there right at the start and sat right at the front! Sawyer loved it, especially the beginning with the police and fire trucks going crazy. But, after he got his first dum dum, the obsession began, and he eventually got two suckers in his mouth. It was a fun little break.
Here are the baby pics as I promised. I am 26 weeks along, ugh! I remember thinking last time I stopped being cute at 30 weeks, and as I haven't started being cute this go around, it's only down hill. Sorry for the creepy body pic, I had just taken a shower, wet hair and no make-up, so I just thought I'd get it over with. Also, apologies for the whitest tummy in the world, put on your sunglasses...but he's too cute kissing his baby brother. He lifts my shirt up and points and says "Baby!" (PS Can I ask for any name suggestions?!? We are having the HARDEST time naming this baby boy! With Sawyer we had his name early, along with a couple others, and it seemed to be so much easier! We can't find one we LOVE. I think it is harder too matching it with Sawyer's name...help please!)

And finally, the couches ;) For those of you who knew, sat on and experienced the previous couches, you can celebrate with me. I hated them with a passion, seeing as they were probably as old as me, we did have them slip covered but they were old, uncomfortable, disgusting...so I whined and whined, and finally right before the move we got a steal of a deal at the RC Willey scratch and dent on a sofa and love seat! They are comfy, durable and cleanable! Wahoo!

AND...

We're going to have another baby boy! We are so happy and excited! I just keep imagining two little boys that look the same running around and causing a lot of mischief! I didn't really have a clue with this one (I was convinced Sawyer was a boy), I kept going back and forth, but I thought more girl than boy. I guess I am trying to even things out, my parents will have 20 grandddaughters and 13 grandsons by next year. And E's parents are opposite, they have only one little princess and will have 5 grandsons. Boys are so fun, I guess I am a mom of boys! Since I've only got a Walmart out here, I am going to have a hard time making them match. :( Pressure is on for #3 (which is a LONG ways away) to be a girl, because what if all my crafting goes unappreciated?! SAD!

Had to add a picture of proud big brother. Since he's recently become a climber, he decided to try out the butter the other day. He gagged.

Oh no we didn't!

Ta-da! If you are shocked, so were we! We are having another baby, and I mean that literally since Sawyer will only be 18 months old. I am 11 weeks along, due January 10th. I wasn't ever super excited about having kids closer than two years, oops. Now that we are pregnant though, we are just really happy. I kinda want a boy, since they will be so close in age, they will be one school year apart, I think they could be best buds. But then the pressure is really on to have a girl on #3. However, it would also be fan to have a girl now, and have one of each. I guess this is the luxury of the second baby. Anyway we wanted to make sure everyone knew and I will keep you posted. We are moving in about 4-5 weeks, and soon thereafter we will find out the sex of the baby.
