Spring Break '09 baby!

Wow how much we all loved this break! E finished the hardest quarter ever, he did amazing, good job babe! And he was more than excited to finally catch up on sleep. But first things first, there was a stake basketball tournament Saturday, so we left Kville about 5 am and headed out, about 2 hrs! We spent a good part of the day in these 4 bball courts watching E play, having breaks in between. They made it to the semi-finals, and our team was pretty beat by the end. Sawyer was recruited into a gang of 5 year old girls, and they kept stealing him and trying to hold him and taking him under the bleachers. He didn't mind ;)Yes he made that. Then the following Tuesday, St Patty's day, we headed to Colombia, the nearest big city, and first up? OLIVE GARDEN how I've missed you! I went once for lunch in November with friends, other than that it has been since this past summer, with Luke and Ashlie for our good-bye dinner! Then we went to the mall where E took the boys in the stroller and let me shop! How fun!Do you think Sawyer liked the carousel?Towards the end we went to a little farm store to see chicks and bunnies, Soy loved them! The rest of the time we spent catching up on our favorite TV show, watched a movie or two and just played all together! It was so fun! Here's the growing boy, our little Oliver, I can't wait for so many of you to meet him, he is just so darling!! The rascal boys, Ollie is smiling behind that bink!

These two were inseparable. Boy does Sawyer love his Dada. They played a TON of basketball, Sawyer now requests to "dunk" on his little hoop. Here he is playing XBOX with dad, resting his head on his shoulder. So sweet. He copies E all the time, if he is standing in a certain position, he will run over and copy him. Boys and their daddy's, it's the best!

PGA?

This is pretty funny, if I say so myself. He just picked up this golfing technique...our best guess is from an XBOX game E has. Enjoy!

(PS Don't mind the mess, my mom was cleaning the couch...I was crafting...and E was organizing his class shirts)

At Last

...my lonely days are over, well for one week! Finals are over and that was so rough! I cannot believe how much E had to study, for how long, and how little sleep he had...man it must feel good to be him. And finally we can snuggle! And he can play with Sawyer and Oliver, and things are just happy right now! We just watched The Office all snug on the couch, perfection :)

During the break we plan to watch a lot of movies together, go to Columbia for some food and shopping, get boring stuff that has to be done like taxes, budgeting, etc.. AND plan our trip to Utah this summer!! Hooray!!

Let's see, the boys are fantastic. (I can say "the boys" now) Ollie had his 2 month check-up and he is apparently short and fat :) He is chunkier than I remember Sawyer being, like he has some little rolls, so cute. He has been struggling with some pretty bad acid reflux and a little cold, but he seems to be on the mend. E and I were commenting tonight on what a smiler he is! You can get the greatest grins out of him, it is so sweet.

Sawyer is being a 21 month old. Stubborn and hilarious, all in one! Every event we've been to lately, he is afraid I'm going to leave him, so he's sad for the first little bit, but he seems to be doing better and better. He loves Finding Nemo and Toy Story or Woody as he calls it. He is still a great golfer, he loves to golf and play any other sport with a ball. He is learning all the different kinds of balls, basketball, football and baseball. He can also cheer "B-Y-U Go Cougars!"

PS We aren't sure if he realizes that handsome little devil in the mirror is himself or not...

Little snoozing Ollie.

Pathetically, I watch the same series (ie Friends, King of Queens) over and over because we have the dvds. Here are some of my favorites and maybe I've missed a gem?

Well I may ammend to add more, but this should give you a good idea. Let me know of any good ones, I guess I mostly want a girly dramas or sitcoms.

Daddy

I've been looking for an excuse to blog about my dad, and I have one. This past weekend he flew out alone to see all of us and come to Oliver's blessing. He's a busy guy, a bishop, real estate agent...and he sacrificed 6 days altogether for us, wow am I lucky! To say that I adore my dad is an understatement. I think he is the greatest. He is funny, friendly, happy, helpful, smart...I could go on and on. I'm getting sad because spending evenings with him watching murder shows and talking was so much fun, since E is intensely studying right now. Ask anyone, my dad has the best stories. I always tease him that it sounds like he grew up in the 1800's. He grew up in England, he had a headmaster at his school and he remembers having no phone at home. Stories he has from growing up are so sweet and charming, I could listen to them over and over. I guess I can't put it all into words, but I absolutely LOVE my daddy. Since we lived with my parents for Sawyer's entire first year of life, when we moved it was incredibly sad especially for them missing Sawyer. My dad was nervous when he came that Sawyer wouldn't remember him at all. We talk about Grandpa a lot, sing his songs and point to his picture. When we opened the door and he was standing there, it was like not a day had gone by! Sawyer started laughing and hiding behind me, poking his head around, it was so sweet. Within minutes they were play fighting. It didn't hurt that my dad gave him his own bag of Hershey kisses :) These two had lots of growling matches and watched a lot of Toy Story. Right after my dad got there we were eating dinner, and my dad leaned against the counter and folded his arms. Sawyer stopped eating and immediately folded his arms too...he continued to copy everything my dad did. So sweet.

Here are some pictures of the beautiful boy on his special day. E gave a very sweet blessing and Ollie didn't make a peep, that I heard at least. Here is our Oliver King:
